Designed for the student who is serious about achieving a superior level of handgun skill, efficiency, legal knowledge, and tactical mindset, this course will develop the student’s ability to shoot on the move, engage multiple targets in a tactical sequence, make use of awkward positions of cover and concealment, manipulate the weapon with one hand or with diminished physical capacities, and more. The student will learn advanced concepts and skills of weapon presentation and manipulation, reloading, malfunction clearances, and failures to stop. You will even shoot from a static vehicle and progress through multiple reality based scenarios. When available, a night shooting portion is included with this course.

 

The 2-Day Advanced Handgun Combatives course is directed towards those who understand that the ultimate responsibility for the protection of themselves and those they are responsible for lies with them alone. This course is highly recommended for anyone who would consider employing a handgun in a lethal force confrontation under any circumstance.

Given the choice, the carbine may well be the personal weapon of choice for lethal confrontations. Therefore, the 2-Day Advanced Carbine Combatives course is designed to provide the student with the advanced skills necessary to properly maintain, manipulate, and employ the carbine in the most demanding of life threatening situations. The course curriculum covers combative carbine marksmanship fundamentals, weapon manipulation, reloads, malfunction clearance, shooting on the move, engagement of multiple targets, and utilizing various shooting positions from cover and concealment. When available, a night shooting portion is included with this course.

 

Based on the range and academic training the student will be left with a thorough understanding of the advanced principles of tactical carbine employment as well as academic issues concerning legal issues, mindset, defensive planning, confrontation avoidance, ammunition selection, interacting with the police, making statements after an incident, the use of force continuum, and more.
